  • Abdisalan Osman - Treasurer

My name is Abdisalan Osman, and I received a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Minnesota State University in Moorhead. In Kenya, I obtained two additional degrees in public relations and logistics and supplies management. I have five years of experience as an accountant and am presently employed at Health Partners as a senior accountant. I have worked as a volunteer for numerous community projects and other nonprofit organizations serving the vulnerable community. In addition to being a father and husband, I have served on the Gateway Stem Academy board for the past two years. Serving our community in this way has long been a priority of mine. I firmly think that the solid educational foundation we give our kids forms the cornerstone of our community. I am still eager to serve and am thrilled about the chance to serve on the Gateway Stem Academy School Board for two years. I have always valued the educational system’s distinctiveness and the difficulties in satisfying the demands of all parties involved while maintaining financial responsibility.

In the era of greater accountability and evaluation, I believe it is critical that our community continue to prioritize giving our kids a well-rounded education that honors their individual learning achievements and is pertinent to the constantly evolving world. I am aware of the difficulties and the necessity of providing our kids with a high-quality education because my kids attended this school. It is our responsibility to provide them with a strong educational foundation, encouraging the best in each of them and helping to ensure thei success going forward.
